   I don’t know how they do it but my IT department buys iPods for all of their employees. They get an educational discount. How strange.

   Not really. You don’t want to work at my school’s IT department. It’s a bit of a joke.

   Apple’s education discounts are not always the best deal. One must consider the taxes they charge. Many online Apple resellers don’t have taxes for most buyers, and usually throw in free extras, like an iTrip, or a hard case.

   The discount is great for accessories, because you can go into an Apple Store, show your school ID and get $4 off adapter cables.
