Is it worth using?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In light of <a title=\"YouTube college\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sevenseek.com\/collegev2\/2006\/09\/22\/youtube-attempts-to-grab-college-market-does-it-succeed\/\">last week&#8217;s post<\/a> about the abysmal failure that is YouTube&#8217;s college section, I was sent an email by the creator of <a title=\"MySchoolTube\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myschooltube.com\/\">MySchoolTube<\/a>, a site that users the Facebook API to group uploaded video by college.<\/p>\n<p>After signing in with your Facebook account (if you don&#8217;t have one you can still use the service, there you go <a title=\"Comment from another post\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sevenseek.com\/collegev2\/2006\/09\/22\/youtube-attempts-to-grab-college-market-does-it-succeed\/#comment-13769\">Michael<\/a>), you can browse school specific videos and upload your own.  Videos then receive votes to be pushed to the top of the page.<br \/>\nSounds like a better set up than YouTube, however MySchoolTube has the same problem as YouTube: lack of users.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"middle\" title=\"MySchoolTube\" alt=\"MySchoolTube\" id=\"image202\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sevenseek.com\/collegev2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/09\/myschooltube.bmp\" \/><\/center><br \/>\nAs you can see the top video has only 2 votes.<\/p>\n<p>The site does support Google Video, Yahoo video, Blip.tv, and Metacafe.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"MySchoolTube\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myschooltube.com\/\">MySchoolTube<\/a> sounds like something that can gain some ground, but will the users come?<\/p>\n<p>[tags]College, Facebook, YouTube, MySchoolTube[\/tags]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In light of last week&#8217;s post about the abysmal failure that is YouTube&#8217;s college section, I was sent an email by the creator of MySchoolTube, a site that users the Facebook API to group uploaded video by college.
